Poetic Justice

Empowering young people to recognise toxic language and reclaim their authentic voices

Poetic Justice is a two-hour tour de force that examines how the language we engage with enables violence against women, racism, homophobia, and misogyny.
Blending stand-up comedy, storytelling, poetry, and discussion, poet Stephen Murray draws on his own childhood experiences as witness to domestic violence and the suffering it brings.
Through his story, the workshop challenges young people to recognise the social narratives that undermine them, while empowering them to rewrite their own narratives and embrace their authentic selves.
